About Breema

Our Purpose & History

The primary purpose of Breema is to support us to become present by unifying our body, mind, and feelings. Breema supports harmony with Existence. Through body-mind connection, the first step in the unification of body, mind, and feelings, Breema offers us a proven method for becoming present. In 1980, Jon Schreiber and a group of students founded the Breema Center which for more than three decades continues to be a hub for teaching and practicing Breema's philosophy, the Bodywork sequences, and the Self-Breema exercises.

Our Nine Principles of Harmony

The Nine Principles of Harmony make Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises unique. They distinguish it from all other methods, even those which include movements that appear to be similar. Yet, the principles of Breema are universal. They can be applied to other techniques and methods of bodywork, health improvement, health maintenance and, in fact, to any activity in life.

Our Bodywork & Exercises

The very best introduction to Breema is through a direct experience. Giving and receiving Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises invite students to experience first-hand how nurturing it is to participate in a Breema class or workshop. The format and atmosphere of every Breema class is welcoming and supportive. Each bodywork sequence can be adapted to suit the condition of both the practitioner and the recipient. Receiving a Breema session is nurturing, relaxing, and enlivening. Practicing Self-Breema exercises connect us with our primary relationship - our True Nature.

Our Books & Inspirations

Breema Center books, blogs, articles, and inspirational materials are excellent guides for those new to Breema and experienced students alike. The presentation of the philosophy and principles of Breema found in the written materials of the Breema Center are from classes taught at the Breema Center.

We invite you to experience Breema and look forward to meeting you!

When you are present, you don’t experience even the slightest pressure of time. Whatever you do feels like the only thing that needs to be done, and you are doing it. You have no sense of time, because you’re living in the present. The pressure of time comes when you’re in the past or future.
