Continuing Education
for Registered Nurses
Course Description
Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises are perfect expressions of the Nine Principles of Harmony, providing participants with tools for integrating body, mind, and feelings. Over time, they introduce us to entirely new and harmonious ways to experience and respond to life. We will learn partner Breema bodywork and self-care exercises that can be practiced anywhere, any time, to reduce stress and tension, enhance somatic awareness, and support vitality and presence. Rooted in principles of embodied connection and compassionate care, these practices are highly applicable in personal growth and professional nursing contexts, including patient-centered care, therapeutic communication, and creating healing environments that support both nurse well-being and optimal patient outcomes.
Â
Taking this course, you will:
- Deepen understanding of the Nine Principles of Harmony to foster holistic, patient-centered care in clinical and personal contexts.
- Enhance skills in self-regulation, resilience, and presence to support effective therapeutic nurse-patient relationships and collaborative healthcare partnerships.
- Develop embodiment practices that help patients access their innate healing capacity and support recovery by connecting with their body's wisdom.
- Learn and practice a series of nurturing Breema bodywork sequences that can be adapted for appropriate use in clinical settings, as well as practiced with colleagues, friends, and family for mutual support.
- Learn and practice several Self-Breema exercises to use for personal stress reduction, shift recovery, and maintaining professional well-being throughout demanding work schedules.
- Experience enhanced body-mind connection while practicing the bodywork and Self-Breema to model embodied presence for patients and colleagues.
- Experience the practical application of the nine universal harmonizing principles of the Breema system in both partner work and self-care practices relevant to nursing practice.

- Reflect on your experience practicing the bodywork and applying the principles through peer discussion and consideration of appropriate clinical applications within nursing scope of practice.
Nine Principles of Harmony
The Nine Principles (e.g., Body Comfortable, No Extra, Firmness and Gentleness, Full Participation, Mutual Support, No Judgment, Single Moment/Single Activity, No Hurry/No Pause) are foundational to fostering embodied self-awareness and therapeutic balance, providing both practitioners and clients with tools for achieving integration and presence.

We fulfill our potential to support life by realizing and expressing our true nature. The more our Being participates, the more we are able to support, and the more we recognize the support of Existence. Giving and receiving support happen simultaneously. This is the meaning of Mutual Support.
